The V110 series are low-cost business laptops, sold in versions with 15- or 17-inch screens.
Lenovo V110 – configurations
Lenovo V110 stands out, first of all, for its very high hardware diversity. This is because there are configurations on the market that use several different processors from two companies and a dedicated or integrated graphics card.
However, one by one. In the case of versions running on Intel chips, the most powerful model features a processor belonging to the seventh generation. We are talking about the i5-7200U. It is equipped with two cores supporting four threads. The chip’s clocking is 2500 MHz in base mode and a maximum of 3100 MHz in boost mode. So it’s a typical device for business use, with slightly increased performance compared to the sixth generation.
The same is true for the i3-7100U chip, which, however, guarantees a few percent less performance compared to the i7 model. On the market you can also find configurations of the laptop in question with sixth-generation Intel Core processors (we are talking about i5-6200U and i3-6006U chips). Low-budget models of the device, on the other hand, use CPUs from the Intel Pentium and Celeron series.
Supporters of AMD chips can also be satisfied. This is because the Lenovo V110 is sold in versions using three different processors from this manufacturer. The most powerful of these is the dual-core A9-9410 (clocked at 2900-3500 MHz), followed by the A6-9210 (clocked at 2400-2800 MHz), and the weakest versions feature the E2-9010 (clocked at 2000-2200 MHz).
The work of the processor is supported by powerful DDR4 RAM. Unfortunately, its maximum capacity is only 8 GB. Those interested in buying the discussed laptop should also consider the choice of hard drive. This is because in stores you can find models working on HDD (up to 1 TB) or SSD (up to 256 GB).
The last component worth discussing is the graphics card. In this case, too, there are two possible paths to choose from. One is associated with cheaper, but somewhat limited integrated units, while the other with a fairly decent AMD Radeon R5 M430 card with 2GB of DDR3 memory and a memory clock of 2000 MHz.
Lenovo V110 – chassis
Due to the fact that the Lenovo V110 is a relatively cheap laptop, you can’t expect its chassis to feature a reinforced design. This is because it was made entirely of plastic, which, of course, translates into its reduced rigidity and resistance to bending. As for the hinges, they work decently, although greater pressure may cause creaking. The set of connectors is very poor. One USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port are far too few for a business device. The overall rating is not at all improved by equipping the laptop with an HDMI connector and a card reader.
Lenovo V110 – cooling
On the other hand, the evaluation of the cooling system’s performance must be rated highly. This is because it guarantees the maintenance of relatively low temperatures both during standard operation and maximum loads. The processor heats up only to about 55 degrees Celsius, while in the hottest part of the case during operation at the highest speed a temperature of 38 degrees can be detected.
The installed fan is also very quiet – as it generates a noise of about 32.5 dB. This value slightly increases (to about 35 dB) during the operation of the DVD drive.
Lenovo V110 – screen
As already mentioned, the Lenovo V110 is sold with either a 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch screen. In either case, the maximum resolution will be HD+, while the matrix uses the capabilities of TN technology. As far as luminance, contrast quality and generated colors are concerned, the laptop performs mediocrely, so there is no way I can use it for advanced graphics programs.
Lenovo V110 – performance
The answer to the question of what the laptop in question can do, however, can only be discovered by analyzing its performance in diagnostic tests. To do this, software that checks the performance of processors (Cinebench R15) and graphics cards (3DMark) was run. The tests involved a configuration equipped with an i5-7200U processor, a Radeon R5 M430 card and 8 GB of RAM.
First to go was the CPU, which received 130 points in single-threaded mode and 327 points in multi-threaded mode. These are very decent results, certainly sufficient for business work. The graphics card did equally well, scoring 42396 points in 3DMark Ice Storm Standard Graphics and 1645 in Performance GPU.
Lenovo V110 – for gaming
All this means that the laptop in question can also be used for some undemanding computer games. Which ones exactly? Below is a presentation of five of them.

Lenovo V110 – is it worth it?
The disadvantages of the laptop in question certainly include a poor matrix and a very limited set of connectors. On the other hand, however, for a relatively low price it guarantees quite decent performance, which will prove to be quite sufficient during typical office work.
